Overall, the summit's aim is to establish a collaboration platform where sharing of priorities between the government and the private sector take place with a view to linking and speeding up implementation of government ICT projects on a world-class standard. The theme for this year's summit is, "Innovating for the Citizen". Previously held as the Connected Government Summit, the Connected Kenya Summit will include a greater representation from the private sector than the previous conference. The Kenya ICT Board in partnership with integrated communications company Safaricom will host the Connected Kenya Summit 2011 from the 18th of April to 21st April 2011 at Leisure Lodge Resort in Diani.
